The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR), founded in 1890 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, securing America’s future through better education, and preserving American history.
Although Susan Woodin Chapter, NSDAR, members are from different backgrounds, we share a desire to honor our ancestry, our pride in our country, and to serve our communities. A young and vibrant chapter, our rapidly growing membership has a wide range of ages and interests. If you live on the East Side of Seattle and believe that one of your ancestors may have served in the Revolutionary War, we encourage you to learn more about our chapter and the exciting things we are doing. And, of course, we would love for you to join us!
